About us

A restaurant in Colbyn, Pretoria, since 1997, and a platform for South African musicians.

Café Barcelona has been around since 1997. It's a restaurant first: breakfast, lunch, coffee and pizza, with a terrace out front and a bar inside.

It's also a much-loved small stage. Over the years we've hosted Koos Kombuis, Vusi Mahlasela, Dan Patlansky, Anton Goosen, Chris Chameleon, Casper de Vries, Jan Blohm and Roan Ash, along with blues societies, tribute nights and young bands finding their feet.

We open our doors to the neighbourhood too, with markets on the corner and a Christmas evening where everyone brings a gift for someone who needs it.
